I've been a librarian since 2009, primarily in public service/instruction roles. Since joining the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2010, I have coordinated a federal and state depository library program and I have served as a liaison to a variety of social science disciplines. During that time, I also discovered that I'm really interested in assessment and evaluation, especially library collections and user experience and satisfaction. Thinking about user experiences also led me to get more involved in resource discovery, a departure from past experience but certainly a growth opportunity. I manage the staff in my library's cataloging, stacks, and acquisitions units, and I serve on a variety of library, campus, and consortial committees and decision-making bodies. I can also commiserate about working full time while parenting two young children.
